Chief of the State Migration Service met with the delegation headed by Director General of the Immigration and Naturalization Service of the Kingdom of the Netherlands

The delegation headed by Mr. Rob Van Lint, Director General of the Immigration and Naturalization Service of the Kingdom of the Netherlands is in official visit in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The delegation commemorated the memory of architecture and founder of modern independent Azerbaijan state, National Leader of our people Heydar Aliyev with respect in Honorary Alley, put flowers before his monument.

The memory of prominent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Alieva was also commemorated and flowers were laid on her grave.

Later on visiting the Alley of Martyrs the guests revered the memory of heroic sons and daughters of Motherland who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, put flowers on their graves. The delegation was given broad information on establishment history of the Alley of Martyrs.

On October 9, Chief of the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, III rank state migration service counselor Firudin Nabiyev met with Mr. Rob Van Lint, Director General of the Immigration and Naturalization Service of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the delegation headed by him. Service chief F.Nabiyev stated that the Republic of Azerbaijan is attractive for foreigners for its economical achievements, political stability and safety, tolerance and geopolitical position of the country, therefore increase in the number of foreigners and stateless persons visiting our republic is observed year by year. He also gave information about activity direction of the body headed by him, migration processes in the country and implemented measures, and stressed the significance of achieving exchange of experience as a result of realization of Twinning project.

Mr. Rob Van Lint thanking to the Service chief for warm reception and broad information and expressing his gratitude for the meeting, stated that the purpose of the visit is to exchange views on implementation of Twinning project which is jointly performed with European Union, development of interagency bilateral relations, issues related to regulation of migration processes and citizenship.

Later on the guests got acquainted with the administrative building of the State Migration Service and Heydar Aliyev Museum of the Service, looked at photos reflecting life and activity of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and wrote their heartfelt words in the Guest  book.
