Public Awareness event at the State Migration Service

Meeting with representatives of about 30 hotels operating in the country was held at the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan last week. The main purpose of the meeting is to inform participants on foreigners’ registration upon place of stay within 3 days who stay in the Republic of Azerbaijan more than 3 days.

Leading officials of the State Migration Service spoke about significance of registration of foreigners and stateless persons arriving in the country upon place of stay, gave broad information to participants on procedural rules at the meeting. It was noted that foreigners usually stay at hotels when they arrive in the country. It was emphasized that in this regards hotels should actively participate in the process of registration of foreigners upon place of stay as a receiving party. It was noted that registration of foreigners arriving in the Republic of Azerbaijan upon place of stay serves protection of public order, security and public health.

Later on presentation of hotel module of registration upon place of stay and residence subsystem was held. It was stressed that the main purpose of the system which will be applied in hotels in the near future is further facilitation and simplification of the process of registration of foreigners upon place of stay arriving at the hotel.

At the end questions interesting meeting participants were answered.
