Next workshop in the framework of Twinning project was held at State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan

On April 22-24, 2013 next workshop on “Creation of other methods on gathering and processing information from the organization in asylum and migration field and preparation of survey blanks” was organized for the employees of the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan with the participation of experts invited from General Inspectorates for Immigration of Romania and Immigration and Passport Department of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Issues on presentation and application possibilities of methods on gathering and processing of data in asylum and migration field, experience exchange on structure of methods used in the Netherlands and Romania, studying preparation methods of relevant survey blanks for drafting detailed reports in migration sphere were discussed at the workshop.

Representatives of the State Border Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan were also invited to the training.

Participants were presented with certificates at the end of the workshop.

It should be noted that the meeting was held in the framework of Twinning project called “Support to the professional development of the staff of the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan” financed by European Union’s Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument. The main partner of State Migration Service in this project covering 2013-2015 is the Netherlands and the other partner countries are Latvia and Romania.

In general, in the framework of the project workshops, study visits to EU countries and meetings are further planned in 4 directions – on migration legislation, fight against illegal migration, development of training methods for professional development of employees of the State Migration Service and increasing public awareness on migration issues.
