Series of events dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev are being continued at the State Migration Service

On April 20, 2013 next lecture on “Undeniable role of Heydar Aliyev personality in application and expansion of capacity of our Mother tongue as a state language” was delivered by Nizami Jafarov, member of Milli Majlis, Director of Ataturk Center, associate member of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Science, doctor of philology, for migration bodies’ employees at the administrative building of the State Migration Service.

N.Jafarov talked about significance of works done by National Leader of Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev in protection and development of national and moral values, as well as Mother tongue. He stated that Great Leader Heydar Aliyev did historically significant services on granting state language status to Azerbaijani language in a rather difficult historic situation during Soviet Union.

Professor emphasized that although Azerbaijani alphabet with Latin script was adopt in the first year of independence, in1991, this decision was not properly implemented. Only after the Decree of National Leader Heydar Aliyev application of our Mother tongue was implemented more completely and all written documents were carried out in Latin script. N.Jafarov stated that National Leader who gave special attention to the usage and development of the Azerbaijani language gave back our Mother tongue – Azerbaijani to us. During the preparation of Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan there were different proposals on how to name the state language and most of them supported the suggestion on naming our Mother tongue as the Azerbaijani language.

Orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr.Ilham Aliyev successfully continuing domestic and foreign policy of Great Leader, on “Publication of Azerbaijan National Encyclopedia” and “Mass publication with Latin script in Azerbaijani” are highly appreciated for their social and historical significance. Preparation of the list of works which are planned to be printed with Latin script in Azerbaijani and their publication in 2004 in compliance with the Orders proved President Ilham Aliyev’s great attention and care to our national and moral values and the development of science and culture once again.

It should be noted that the heritage of Great Leader will be taught to the employees of the Headquarters of the State Migration Service along with Regional Migration Departments and Detention Centers for Illegal Migrants.
