Ambassador of the Islamic Republic Afghanistan visited the State Migration Service

On April 15, 2013 Chief of State Migration Service, III rank state migration service counselor Firudin Nabiyev received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Muhammad Shaker Kargar.

Sincerely greeting the guest F.Nabiyev gave broad information on migration processes in the country, establishment history and activity directions of the State Migration Service. Speaking about Detention Centers for Illegal Migrants Service chief talked about Afghanistan citizens in the country, their social situation, and conditions created for them.

Stating importance of holding regular meetings with Azerbaijan citizens of Afghan origin Service chief notified that relevant assistance would be rendered in order to organize further meeting with them.

Expressing his gratitude for warm welcome Muhammad Shaker Kargar spoke about social, political and economical progress Azerbaijan made in a short time. Giving information on migration processes in Afghanistan the Ambassador noted that the main reason of the country citizens’ flow abroad is the internal socio-political situation.

Furthermore during the meeting close cooperation existing between Azerbaijan and Afghanistan and perspectives of cooperation in migration field were discussed, importance of exchange of information and practice in this field was stated, exchange of view was held in the direction of solving existing problems. Both sides noted significance of continuing joint efforts in the field of fighting against illegal migration.
