Event dedicated to 15 June – National Salvation Day - was held at the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan

Event dedicated to 15 June – National Salvation Day was held at the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan on June 14, 2013.

At first national anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played.

At the event it was stated that on June 15, 2013 architect and founder of modern independent Azerbaijan, National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s return to political power has entered Azerbaijan history as “National Salvation Day”. In 1993 returning to power with the persistent demand of the people Great Leader saved Azerbaijan from fragmentation, threat of collapse and civil war. Genius Leader managed to establish political stability in the country, to stop undeclared bloody war pursued by Armenia and to achieve cease-fire.

It was mentioned that during the toughest days of Azerbaijan when its fate was decided, its salvation from difficulties, elimination of civil confrontation, provision of socio-political stability and development, achievement of worthy place in international community was possible owing to unbreakable will, irreplaceable self-sacrifice of the great son of the Motherland before its people. As a result of rich statehood experience and political foresight of National Leader Heydar Aliyev foundations of our independence and statehood were laid, Azerbaijan became a powerful state. The period of 10 years that Great Leader Heydar Aliyev ruled the country was recorded in modern history of Azerbaijan as a period of socio-political development.

During this period National Leader Heydar Aliyev taking our country out of threat and difficulties, brought it to development path. During these years socio-political stability was ensured, new opportunities were provided for economic development, foreign investment was attracted to the country, state management mechanism was reorganized, standing army was created, wide-scale political, legal, economic, social and cultural reforms were carried out, dynamic development of country economy was ensured. Moreover, our state achieved worthy place in world community, gained great international authority by consolidating its geopolitical position in the region. By continuing Great Leader’s political and ideological course, ensuring national interests of our people and state arising from the essence of this course in international arena, successfully implementing development strategy of Azerbaijan, consolidating our independence, strengthening our statehood President Ilham Aliyev continues Heydar Aliyev ideas, develops and takes our country to bright future.

It was mentioned that all the achievements of independent Azerbaijan in migration field, as in other spheres was possible owing to state establishment policy of National Leader  Heydar Aliyev who brought his brilliance to the trial of history on June 15, 1993 and continuous activity of President Ilham Aliyev.

At the end, a film dedicated to 15 June – National Salvation Day - was demonstrated.
