Chief of the State Migration Service received delegation headed by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Peoples Republic of Bangladesh Dipu Moni

On June 10, 2013 Chief of the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, III rank state migration service counselor Firudin Nabiyev received delegation headed by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Peoples Republic of Bangladesh Dipu Moni.

F.Nabiyev greeting the guests sincerely stated that as a result of occupation of our territories by Armenians in the first years of Azerbaijan’s independence more than 1 million people became refugee and internally displaced person and faced internal migration problems. As a result of far-sighted policy of Heydar Aliyev who returned to power in 1993 at the persistent request of the people, political stability was established in the country, Azerbaijan started to develope rapidly. Service chief stated that at present the country economy develops dynamically, a number of enterprises are established, local and regional infrastructure projects are implemented successfully, new work places are opened as a result of successful policy of worthy follower of Great Leader, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr.Ilham Aliyev. This grows foreigners’ interest in our republic. That is why the number of foreigners coming to our country increases year by year. The State Migration Service is the body which performs competences of the sole state agency in this field.

F.Nabiyev talked about rapid development of the State Migration Service, young entity of independent Azerbaijan Republic, during the past period and formation of migration services in compliance with world standards.

Thanking to Service chief for warm reception Dipu Moni expressed her satisfaction over being in Baku for the first time and noted that Peoples Republic of Bangladesh recognizes territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and supports Azerbaijan regarding Khojaly genocide. She stressed that there are high level political relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh, but it is weaker in other areas. Dipu Moni emphasized that main purpose of her visit is strengthening bilateral relations between the countries and expressed her assurance that relationship between the two countries in migration sphere will be further improved as in many other areas.

Problems of mutual interest in migration field were clarified during the meeting as well.

Chief of the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, III rank state migration service counselor Firudin Nabiyev presented memorial present to Minister of Foreign Affairs of Peoples Republic of Bangladesh Dipu Moni at the end of the meeting.

At the end guests got acquainted with Heydar Aliyev Museum of the Service, Mrs.Dipu Moni wrote her thoughts to the memorial book.
