Chief of State Migration Service received Ambassador of French Republic in our country, Pascal Meunier
On January 15, 2013 chief of the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, III rank state migration service counselor Firudin Nabiyev received Pascal Meunier, recently appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic.
Sincerely greeting the guest Service chief spoke about development of bilateral relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the French Republic, expressed his assurance of further development of this cooperation in the future. F. Nabiyev informed the Ambassador on establishment history of the Service and activity directions, as well as current migration processes in the territory of the country. Service chief notified that the Republic of Azerbaijan is attractive to foreigners for its economic achievements, political stability and geopolitical position in recent years, therefore the number of foreigners and stateless persons increases year-by-year.
Thanking for warm reception Ambassador Pascal Meunier expressed his satisfaction over the meeting. Bringing to attention that Azerbaijan-France relations are supported by two country Presidents at high level, the Ambassador mentioned that he will do his best to expand relations during his diplomatic activity in our country. “Our intention is to see Azerbaijan always steady, independent, tolerant and secular”- told Pascal Meunier. He offered to establish Working Group between State Migration Service and Ministry of Immigration, Integration, National Identity and Co-development of the French Republic and emphasized necessity to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
