Last week 717 foreigners violated requirements of country legislation were revealed by State Migration Service

Measures implemented by the State Migration Service of Azerbaijan Republic on strengthen­i­n­g­ s­tate ­­­control over migration processes, as well as preventing illegal migration in Azerbaijan Republic were continued during the last week.

On 07.01.2013-12.01.2013 relevant activities against illegal migration were carried out by the State Migration Service in Baku city, as well as other cities and regions of the Republic. As a result of carried out inspections and investigations 717 cases of infringement of administrative legislation and rules on staying, temporary and permanent residence in the Republic of Azerbaijan were revealed. 

During the week foreigners and stateless persons committed administrative offences were fined in the amount from 300 manats up to 400 manats with or without being expelled from the country; 509 of them under Article 339.1.1 (residence without documents entitling to residence or stay, as well as without registration), 34 persons under Article 339.1.2 (stay and residence in the Republic of Azerbaijan with invalid documents), 1 person under 339.1.6 (absconding to leave after expiration of the period envisaged in the legislation)  of the Administrative Offences Code (AOC) of the Republic of Azerbaijan. 1 of these persons was fined in the amount of 30 manats under Article 331 (losing or intentionally damaging decision on extending temporary staying period in the Republic of Azerbaijan and documents for temporary and permanent residence). Moreover, 172 persons committed administrative offence were exempted from administrative liability according to Article 21 of AOC of the Republic of Azerbaijan. 

In addition inspections were carried out by Service employees in a number of entrepreneurial subjects of Baku city in order to reveal and prevent cases of involvement of foreigners and stateless persons in paid labour activity without obtaining work permit by employers. As a result of carried out inspections infringement of rules of obtaining work permits for carrying out paid labour activity in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan was revealed in 6 entrepreneurial subjects.

Relevant measures are being continued by the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan towards revealing and preventing illegal migration in the capital and the regions of the country.
