Announcement of the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan
Recently attempts have been observed to create groundless agitation among Azerbaijanis who are citizens of Georgia by intentionally spreading rumors with various contexts concerning application of legislation in migration sphere.
It is stated that allegedly Azerbaijanis living in Georgia face difficulties when coming to and leaving our country and these persons have to pay fines in large amount for overstaying defined period.
The State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan once more reminds that visa free regime exists between Georgia and Azerbaijan, and citizens of this country can stay in the Republic of Azerbaijan up to 90 days.
Furthermore 980 Georgian citizens violated requirements of legislation in migration field were exempted from fines.
The State Migration Service notifies that dissemination of false information has provocative character and is directed towards aggravation of socio-political situation.
