Chief of State Migration Service received delegation headed by Ambassador of Iraq Republic in our country
On February 1, 2013 Chief of State Migration Service, III rank state migration service counselor Firudin Nabiyev received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Iraq in the Republic of Azerbaijan Heydar Shiya Gubeyshi Albarrak and delegation headed by him.
Sincerely greeting the guest Service chief spoke about existing relations between two countries, gave information about activity of the entity he headed, notified that the Republic of Azerbaijan has become attractive to foreigners for its economic achievements, political stability and geopolitical position in recent years, therefore the number of foreigners and stateless persons increases year-by-year.
Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in our country Heydar Shiya Gubeyshi Albarrak expressed his gratitude to Service chief for warm welcome and talked about current situation of relations between two countries. Mr. Ambassador stated that the number of persons intending to travel and invest in Iraq economy increases year by year. He mentioned that Iraq students have studied in Azerbaijan since soviet times.
Service chief brought to guests’ attention that the number of Iraq students studying in health sphere has increased in recent times and associated it with demand for workers in this field in the Republic of Iraq.
At the meeting perspectives of cooperation between State Migration Service and relevant agencies of the Republic of Iraq were discussed as well.
At the end guests expressed again their gratitude to Service chief for warm welcome.
