The Azerbaijani delegation of Georgian citizens was received at the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan

On November 28, 2012 Deputy chief of the State Migration Service of Azerbaijan Republic, III rank state migration service counselor Parviz Musayev received the delegation of Georgian citizens consisting of ten persons.

During the meeting the intellectuals informed about the problems Georgian citizens faced in the territory of Azerbaijan Republic and asked for making certain concessions for them under the legislative framework.

After listening attentively to the representatives managerial staff of the Service notified requirements of stay and residence conditions in the country determined by legislation of Azerbaijan Republic and stated that according to the 1st Part of Article 6 of the law №55-IQ of Azerbaijan Republic on “Registration according to the place of residence and sojourn” dated on April 4, 1996 foreigners and stateless persons intending to stay in the Republic of Azerbaijan more than 30 days must apply to the local agencies of the Ministry of Interior within 3 days for registration at the place of residence and must submit his/her passport, entry visa, the document which entitles the movement to the residential place or the application of the person who presents the residential place. The foreigner or stateless person who is registered in the residential place gets the certificate on registration.

It was also notified that according to 5th Part of Article 12 of the law №813 of Azerbaijan Republic on “Exit from the Country, entry into the Country, and Passports” dated on June 14, 1994 temporary staying period of foreigners arriving in the Republic of Azerbaijan under visa-free regime should not exceed 90 days. After expiration of this period they should leave the territory of Azerbaijan Republic, unless temporary staying period of foreigners in Azerbaijan Republic hasn’t extended by the State Migration Service of Azerbaijan Republic, they haven’t granted temporary residence permission in Azerbaijan Republic, or any application by them haven’t accepted for granting such permission. Otherwise according to the requirements of Article 339.1 of the Administrative Offences Code of Azerbaijan Republic, foreigners and stateless persons violating rules of stay and residence in Azerbaijan Republic are fined in the amount from 300 up to 400 manats with or without expulsion in an administrative way from the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

During the meeting other questions interesting intellectuals were clarified.

At the end appeal prepared by Georgian citizen Azerbaijanis was presented to the leadership of the State Migration Service of Azerbaijan Republic and gratitude was expressed for the warm reception.
