106 foreigners residing in the country with invalid documents and involved in labor activity without obtaining work permit were detained during the last week

Measures implemented by the State Migration Service of Azerbaijan Republic on strengthen­i­n­g­ ­s­tate ­­­control over migration processes, as well as preventing illegal migration in Azerbaijan Republic were continued during the last week as well.

On October 15-19, 2012 relevant activities against illegal migration were carried out by the State Migration Service in Baku, as well as Guba, Gusar, Khachmaz and Siyazan regions. As a result of taken measures 106 foreigners residing in the country with invalid documents and involved in labour activity without work permit contrary the requirements of Azerbaijan Republic legislation were revealed and relevant decisions on them were adopted in compliance with Articles 339 and 340.1 of the Administrative Offences Code of Azerbaijan Republic.

Relevant measures are being continued by the State Migration Service of Azerbaijan Republic towards revealing and preventing illegal migration in the capital and the regions of the country.
