Official statistics of the State Migration Service of Azerbaijan Republic for July 2012

Relevant measures towards implementation of state policy in migration sphere, strengthening state control over migration processes, management and regulation of migration processes, as well as preparation and realization of measures for prevention of illegal migration have been continued by State Migration Service of Azerbaijan Republic in July 2012.

Inspections have been conducted in a number of entrepreneurial subjects by employees of State Migration Service of Azerbaijan Republic in order to reveal and prevent cases of foreigners’ and stateless persons’ involvement in paid labour activity without obtaining work permit by employer by violating requirements of country legislation. As a result of taken measures violation cases of current legislative requirements have been revealed and relevant measures have been taken on a number of entrepreneurial subjects and foreigners.  

Furthermore, during July 1.859 cases concerning infringement of current legislative requirements by foreigners and stateless persons without observing rules of stay, temporary and permanent residence in Azerbaijan Republic have been revealed, 298 of those foreigners were fined and their residence in the country was legalized, decisions on 1.393 foreigners to leave the territory of the country within 48 hours and decisions on 108 foreigners to be expelled out of the country in administrative order were adopted.

In total 4.676 foreigners’ and stateless persons’ applications related with extension of temporary staying period in the country, granting temporary and permanent residence permissions, acquiring, revocation, restoration of citizenship, determination of refugee status and citizenship, as well as granting and extension of work permits for carrying out labour activity were submitted to the State Migration Service during the month. Each application was investigated in compliance with the requirements of legislation of Azerbaijan Republic and proper decisions were adopted.
