Measures on public awareness in migration sphere continue in the country regions

Measures on public awareness in migration sphere are continued in the regions of Azerbaijan Republic with joint organization of State Migration Service, regional and city executive authorities.

 

Next such event was organized in Lankaran on May 30, 2012. Senior officials of the State Migration Service, competent representatives of regional executive authorities and local municipalities, law enforcement bodies of Lankaran city, as well as  Bilasuvar, Masalli, Jalilabad, Astara, Lerik and Yardimli regions, thus directors of several companies and organizations, employers hiring foreigners and stateless persons, Mass Media representatives attended in the event.

 

First Deputy of Lankaran city mayor Ilgar Dadashov opening the event talked about its social importance. Comprehensive information was given about complex measures taken in migration sphere in the event where Head Department chief of the State Migration Service Ismayil Abdulllayev, Deputy Chief of Department Nazim Salmanov and Deputy Chief of Lankaran Regional Department Agha Aghayev participated. Also information about legislative acts regulating issues related with  legal status of foreigners and stateless persons in Azerbaijan Republic, extension of temporary staying period of foreigners and stateless persons in the territory of the country, acquisition  and extension of work permits by employers to foreigners and stateless persons for carrying out paid labour activity in the territory of the country, procedures of their registration upon place of residence, responsibility for violation of requirements of migration legislation and other issues were brought to notice of the event participants.
                         

At the end of the conference questions arising interest of participants were answered by the senior officials of the Service.

Measures on public awareness in migration sphere are being continued by the State Migration Service of Azerbaijan Republic in other regions, too.
