Short-term advanced training course on “State Regulation of Migration Processes” started at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on February 10, 2011.
The course provided at the “Raising the level of managerial personnel’s skill” department of the Academy serves to familiarization of managerial personnel of state bodies with the state policy pursued in the migration sphere. The main purpose of this course is systematization of the knowledge related with constitutional and legal basis of migration authorities’ activity, acquiring and implementation of best practices, international human rights conceptions and other issues and to familiarize the course participants with these issues.
The Head of Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan Republic Ramiz Mehdiyev, Division heads Ali Hasanov, Fuad Aleskerov, State Migration Service Chief Arzu Rahimov, Division Head of Milli Majlis Latif Huseynov, officials of Ministries of Justice, Internal Affairs, Foreign Affairs, Labour and Social Protection of Population, State Customs Committee, Ombudsman Office and State Committee on Work with Diaspora will make speeches on "Governmental management experience of National Leader Heydar Aliyev", "Azerbaijan statehood and reforms in the migration sphere”, “Main directions of a modern migratory policy of Azerbaijan", “Application of international best practice in the migration area” "Fight against illegal migration and deportation", "Regional security problems and Azerbaijan" and others topics during abovementioned training course.
