Round table in the State Migration Service on occasion of 87th anniversary of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, the founder of Azerbaijan statehood

On May 8, 2010 round table in the subject of “Heydar Aliyev and national policy” was held in the State Migration Service on the occasion of the 87th anniversary of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev.

Opening round table the State Migration Service Chief  Mr. Arzu Rahimov spoke about Great Leader Heydar Aliyev’s incomparable historical services in front of Azerbaijan people and state, whose rich political activity gave impulse to the comprehensive development process of the country and took it to the way of permanent prosperity, as well as his exceptional role in implementation of nation’s dream of independence, realization of national statehood idea and establishment of modern Azerbaijan state. He also said that since 1969, when genius person Heydar Aliyev came to power, social and political processes and economical reforms received impulse in wide range, achievements in economical sphere was gained in short time, important steps in direction of culture increase and revival of national intellectual values was taken.

Service Chief noted that radical changes happened in our lives on the years of 1969-1982 are the richest pages_old of Azerbaijan creation chronicles by its scale.  Present-day strong foundation of our country’s independence and deep integration to the world economy processes are grounded on potential created by Haydar Aliyev in the same years.            

Arzu Rahimov also spoke about new political period in Azerbaijan history started with the Heydar Aliyev’s sharp statement concerning the January 20 tragedy, people’s intention to entrust their destiny only to Heydar Aliyev in the time of civil confrontation in June 1993 as a result of foreign pressure and internal discord, deliverance from threat of civil war and socio-political chaos, restoration of lawfulness and cohesion of society around single ideology.

Service Chief also brought to notice the acceleration of working migrants flow process as a result of “Contract of the century” signed  with the world ambitious oil companies in 1994, increase of foreign investments volume to the national economy, implementation of infrastructure and business projects in different areas as a result of the Great Leader’s political principles. He also noted that Azerbaijan has become a leader state in the region and a place for huge international projects to successfully realize, rapid progress of Azerbaijan economy has opened qualitatively new stage in migration processes as result of purposely political, economical, legal and other reforms implementing by the deserving successor of nationwide leader’s policy President Mr. Ilham Aliyev:   “It is a result of  dynamic development of  economy that up to recent times  Azerbaijan citizens were addressing abroad to work, but today migrants from different, even developed  countries are coming to Azerbaijan”.

Service Chief Arzu Rahimov stated that the reason of increasing number of foreign immigrants coming to our country is the socio-political stability in Azerbaijan, rapid progress of economy, existence of normal job places, religious and national based tolerance and other factors.

Later he noted that Great Leader Heydar Aliyev’s activity having a special place in the history of our centuries-old statehood crosses the borders of Azerbaijan by a degree of its significance. Azerbaijan leader distinguished by his influence on the international processes and referring to the most actual global calls takes an honorable place in the row of the outstanding political statesmen of our time. Political and rich activity of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev as a statesman devoted all his meaningful life to his people left a trace in the history of Azerbaijan people and became a real state management school. Still a lot of generations will benefit from this great school and Heydar Aliyev’s rich political heritage in the name of country’s progress and people’s well-being.

Blessed memory of Nationwide Leader and genius person Heydar Alirza Aliyev lives and will eternally live eternal in people’s heart.

At the end of the event a documentary film “Heydar Aliyev” dedicated to the Great Leader’s 87th anniversary was demonstrated.
