Round table organized at State Migration Service

On March 6, 2013 chief of the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, III rank state migration service counselor Firudin Nabiyev received Namik Ata, recently appointed counselor on labour and social security issues of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Azerbaijan, as well as representatives of Azerbaijan International Society of Turkish Industrialists and Businessmen (AISTIB) and Azerbaijan Turkey Business Association, and company leaders.

Service chief Firudin Nabiyev brought to the guests’ attention that as a result of successful continuation of successful policy of Nation-wide Leader Heydar Aliyev by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev rapid development of country economy has been achieved, the Republic of Azerbaijan has turned from country of origin to country of destination for migrants. Firudin Nabiyev mentioned that economic development of Azerbaijan not only accelerates foreign investment flow, but also resulted in increase in the number of foreigners intending to carry out labour activity here, which in its turn requires strengthening control over migration processes. Service chief stated that though new work places attract labour migrants to the republic, as Mr. President repeatedly emphasized in his speeches potential of local labour force should be used in the first place. Firudin Nabiyev once more mentioned necessity for intensification of control over migration processes, as well as importance of following country legislation by leaders of companies operating in our republic was brought to their notice.

Expressing his gratitude for warm reception Namik Ata showed his satisfaction over development of cooperation in all directions between Azerbaijan and Turkey and stressed his assurance of further development of this cooperation in the future.

Later on problems and proposals of company managers were listened, debated were carried out towards their solution and it was notified that problems that might arise in the future would be solved.

Expressing their satisfaction over the meeting the guests stated that they were contented with the activity of the State Migration Service and thanked the Service management for sincere welcome.
