Media tour organized at the State Migration Service

A media tour on “Media awareness in the field of migration” was organized at the State Migration Service (SMS).

The event, organized with the aim of raising awareness in the field of migration, informing the public about the activities carried out in this field, as well as expanding and strengthening cooperation with the media, was attended by employees of the Service and media representatives.

First, relevant employee of the State Migration Service conducted a training for media representatives on the topic “Migration management, services in Azerbaijan and migration trends.”

As part of the media tour, Chief of the State Migration Service, II rank state migration service counselor Vusal Huseynov met with journalists. Emphasizing the importance of the media’s active participation in ensuring more effective migration management, the Chief of the Service noted that the meeting was of particular significance for further strengthening mutual cooperation with the media and ensuring the timely provision of information to the public.

Vusal Huseynov provided detailed information on the directions of activities of the State Migration Service, reforms carried out, digital innovations applied, management of migration processes in the country, and work done in this field. It was noted that the State Migration Service, in accordance with the state policy determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev, consistently operates in the direction of effective management of migration processes, promotion of regular migration, prevention of irregular migration, and protection of human rights.

Then the Chief of the Service answered the questions of media representatives.

Following the meeting, a media tour to the Baku city Regional Migration Head Department was organized for media representatives. The participants became closely acquainted with the activities of the Service’s Citizen Reception and Application Review Division and Call Center, as well as the daily work process of employees.
