Within the framework of the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), a high-level panel on "Migration and Cities: Safe, Innovative and Sustainable Governance Framework" will take place on 20 May 2026.

The event will be jointly organized by the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the International Organization for Migration.

The session will explore the migration-urbanization nexus, focusing on innovative, safe, and sustainable governance frameworks that facilitate the integration of migrants and reinforce urban resilience. Discussions will also contribute to operationalizing the linkages between national migration policies and local urban realities, while fostering global partnerships.
