Chief of the State Migration Service met with the new Regional President of BP
Vusal Huseynov, Chief of the State Migration Service, II rank state migration service counselor, has met with Giovanni Cristofoli, the new Regional President of BP for Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Türkiye. Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli, BP’s Vice President for Communications and External Affairs in the Caspian region, also participated in the meeting.
Congratulating Giovanni Cristofoli on his new appointment, the Chief of the Service provided information on the country’s migration policy and migration management model. Touching upon the innovations implemented in this field, the Chief of the Service briefed the guest on the Highly Skilled Migrant Program, which aims to attract highlyqualified foreign specialists to the country. He noted BP's contribution to the development of local human resources as one of Azerbaijan’s key partners in the energy sector and recalled with satisfaction the company's participation in international projects aimed at increasing institutional capacities in the field of migration.
Expressing his gratitude for the cordial reception, Giovanni Cristofoli expressed his satisfaction with the existing cooperation and emphasized that he would spare no effort to further strengthen these relations.
During the meeting, the importance of the Advisory Council under the State Migration Service, of which BP is a member, was highlighted as an effective platform for establishing public-private sector dialogue. Furthermore, an exchange of views was carried out on other issues of mutual interest.
