Information of the State Migration Service on the application of a visa-free regime for citizens of certain states

For the purpose of facilitating travel opportunities for citizens and strengthening relations between countries, the visa requirement for holders of ordinary passports of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman, the State of Kuwait, and the Kingdom of Bahrain to enter to the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan has been exempted for the period from 15 February 2026 to 15 February 2027.

During the period in which the new rules are in force, citizens of the relevant countries may enter to the Republic of Azerbaijan visa-free up to three times and stay for up to 30 days on each visit. Citizens of aforementioned countries who intend to come to Azerbaijan for purposes other than tourism or to stay for a longer period must obtain the relevant visa in accordance with the requirements of the legislation before entering territory of the country.

In addition, citizens of third countries holding temporary or permanent residence permits issued by the competent authorities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman, the State of Kuwait, the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the State of Qatar, with a validity period of at least six months, will be able to obtain a single-entry 30-day tourist visa at the international airports of the Republic of Azerbaijan within the specified period.

It should be noted that foreigners temporarily staying in the territory of Azerbaijan for more than 15 days should get registered upon place of stay in accordance with the requirements of the Migration Code. Furthermore, in case of existence of grounds envisaged in legislation, foreigners must apply to the State Migration Service, either in person through "migration services" working windows operating at ASAN Service centers or electronically via the “Electronic Services” section of the official website of the Service, before the expiration of their temporary staying period in the country to extend this period or to obtain a temporary residence permit.
