The running competition titled “Eternity and Sovereignty” organized by the State Migration Service

The State Migration Service organized a running competition titled “Eternity and Sovereignty” within the Action Plan dedicated to the declaration of 2025 as the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty,”

The race was held with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Azerbaijan Athletics Federation, the “Türkiye and Azerbaijan Businessmen and Industrialists” Public Union and the Seaside Boulevard Administration More than 250 participants attended the race, including employees of migration authorities, those who are involved in migration processes, namely foreigners residing in our country and their local hosts, representatives of relevant state agencies, Azerbaijani citizens living abroad, as well as migration volunteers and members of the Advisory, Migrant, and Public Councils under the SMS.

The purpose of the race was to promote a healthy lifestyle, support the integration of foreigners living in our country into the local community, strengthen solidarity, and ensure the effective use of leisure time.

Participants attempted to cover a 5-kilometer circular distance from in front of the “Deniz Mall” shopping center to the State Flag Square in the shortest possible time.

Among men, Bakhiyar Asgarli took first place, Elman Abishov came second, and Seymur Huseynov took third place.

Among women, the top three winners were Julia Belkova, Irina Khalilova, and Mahsa Palar, respectively.

The top three participants were awarded cups, medals, diplomas, and valuable prizes. In addition, 86-year-old Tarverdi Aliyev, the oldest participant of the race received a certificate of appreciation.

Gratitude was expressed and letters of appreciation were presented to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Azerbaijan Athletics Federation, the” Türkiye and Azerbaijan Businessmen and Industrialists” Public Union, and the Seaside Boulevard Administration for their support in organizing the running competition.
