Closing ceremony of the "Migration School - 7" project held

The closing ceremony of the "Migration School - 7" project, organized jointly by the State Migration Service and the Representation of the International Organization for Migration in the Republic of Azerbaijan, within the framework of the Regional Training Center on Migration, was held.

At the event, Vusal Huseynov, Chief of the State Migration Service, II rank state migration service counselor, congratulated the young participant of the project and wished them success in their future activities. He noted that more than 200 trainings have been organized with the participation of more than 120 youngsters within the seven “Migration School” projects implemented since 2018. The project, successfully executed by the State Migration Service has contributed to increasing the knowledge of the youth regarding migration and raising awareness on state governance.

At the ceremony, Mr. Lars Johan Lönnback, Chief of Mission for the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Georgia and Country Office with Coordinating Functions in the region and participants of the "Migration School - 7" project shared their impressions and expressed their heartfelt words.

Later, a summary video of the trainings held in the framework of the "Migration School - 7" project was presented.

At the end of the closing ceremony, certificates were presented to the participants who successfully completed the "Migration School - 7" project.

It should be noted that 25 trainings including 26 participants within the "Migration School - 7" project, organized by the State Migration Service, were conducted not only by the relevant departments of the State Migration Service but also by the project partners, as well as representatives of state bodies, international and non-governmental organizations, local and international experts.

Additionally, study visits of the participants were organized to the Baku city Temporary Accommodation Center, the Reception Department and Call Center, as well as the Khachmaz regional migration department and the "Guba ASAN Service" Center for familiarization with the work of the migration division. Moreover, they were given the opportunity to be in an internship in the relevant structural units.
