To the attention of foreigners and stateless persons visiting Azerbaijan related to COP29!

Foreigners visiting Azerbaijan with a COP29 visa or without a visa by registering with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) must apply to the State Migration Service for extension of their temporary staying period if there is a necessity to stay in the country longer than the period envisaged by the law.

Please be informed that the temporary staying period in the country can be extended up to 60 days in the cases envisaged in Article 40 of the Migration Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan (official necessity, urgent treatment, etc.).

In this case, foreigners and stateless persons can apply for extention of their temporary staying period electronically (https://eservice.migration.gov.az/public/create-mom-application) or in person to the State Migration Service through "migration services" working windows operating in "ASAN service" centers. Please be noted that residing without documents granting the right to stay or reside in the country leads to administrative responsibility in accordance with the law.
