Meeting Held at the State Migration Service with Delegation Led by Moldovan Minister of Internal Affairs

Chief of the State Migration Service, II rank state migration service counselor Vusal Huseynov, met with a delegation led by the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, Adrian Efros.
Welcoming the guests warmly, the Chief of Service noted that bilateral relations between our countries have successfully developed in various fields, including migration. He emphasized that the "Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Migration between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Moldova," signed in 2007, has played a significant role in developing mutual relations. The Chief of Service expressed satisfaction with the effective cooperation established over the years.
Vusal Huseynov provided information about the migration management system in Azerbaijan, the areas of activity of the State Migration Service, innovations applied in managing migration processes, and measures taken to enhance capacity in migration issues.
The Chief of Service spoke about the importance of bilateral and multilateral cooperation with international organizations and relevant bodies of foreign states operating in the field of migration to regulate migration processes more effectively. He specifically highlighted the training conducted within the "Support for the Establishment of a Regional Training Center on Migration in Azerbaijan" project, implemented jointly with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Mission in Azerbaijan, and its contribution to education and training processes in the field of migration, as well as the preparation of specialists in this field. He also praised Moldova's active participation in the project and valued the strengthening of cooperation in this direction.
Adrian Efros, expressing gratitude to the Chief of the Service for the sincere reception, highly appreciated the joint cooperation, emphasized the importance of relations in the field of migration, and conveyed his commitment to continuing efforts to expand cooperation relations further.
During the meeting, a "Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Migration between the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova," as well as an "Agreement on the Readmission of Persons Residing without Authorization between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Moldova," were signed. Both documents were characterized as a fertile ground for strengthening bilateral and regional cooperation in the field of migration, supporting migration dialogue, ensuring direct information exchange in the field of migration, and expanding cooperation between institutions.
The meeting also involved an exchange of views on the prospects for developing mutual cooperation and the presentation of commemorative gifts.
Following the meeting, the guests visited the "Victory Corner," symbolizing our Army's historic victory in the Patriotic War, and the Heydar Aliyev Museum, where Adrian Efros wrote heartfelt words in the Memory Book.
