A meeting held to inform foreign students

The State Migration Service holds regular meetings in order to inform the representatives of the higher education institutions operating in our country and foreign students.

Related to the 2023-2024 academic year the next event dedicated to migration issues of foreign students was held at the Apparatus of the State Migration Service.

Representatives of the State Migration Service, Ministry of Science and Education, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and State Border Service, as well as responsible employees of the higher education institutions operating in our country, participated in the meeting.

During the event, Ismayil Abdullayev, the Chief of the Migration Processes Regulation Head Department, III rank senior migration service counselor of the State Migration Service, emphasized the importance of organizing informational events to raise awareness of foreign students. The participants were informed about the requirements of the migration legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The Chief of the Head Department stressed the necessity of effective organization of documentation procedures related to foreign students, as well as the timely implementation of relevant procedures regarding the rules of stay and residence in the country.

The representatives of other government authorities participating in the event made presentations on current issues. The importance of further expanding mutual cooperation among the relevant institutions regarding the mentioned issues was highlighted.

At the end, the questions of the participants were answered.
