Chief of the State Migration Service met with the Representative of the UNHCR in Azerbaijan

Chief of the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, II rank state migration service counselor Vusal Huseynov met with Guido Ambroso, Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Azerbaijan.

Warmly welcoming the guests, Chief of the Service Vusal Huseynov touched on effective cooperation between institutions and drew attention to the importance of implementing joint projects and sharing experience.

At the meeting, detailed information was provided on the legal status of persons granted refugee status in the country, their integration into the local society, the work done within the framework of the "End Statelessness" campaign, and the support provided to asylum seekers.

Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Azerbaijan, Guido Ambroso, positively assessed the work done in the direction of protecting the rights of refugees and asylum-seekers within the framework of cooperation with SMS, noted that measures will be kept at the center of attention in the direction of the development of existing cooperation relations.

Further expansion of experience exchange and other issues of mutual interest were discussed at the meeting.
