A meeting of the Migrant Council and Working Group under the State Migration Service held

A meeting was held at the State Migration Service with the members of the Migrant Council and Working Group performing the coordinating function, which was established in order to more actively involve migrants living in our country in the migration management of the Republic of Azerbaijan, to increase the efficiency of the protection of their rights and freedoms, to increase the quality of services provided to foreigners and stateless persons, as well as to evaluate the impact of decisions made in the field of migration on the daily life of foreigners.

Vahid Gahramanov, the chairman of the Working Group of the Migrant Council, who opened the event with an opening speech, expressed his hope that the establishment of the Council will make a great contribution to ensuring the full social integration of migrants living in our country, strengthening cooperation with migrants, and completing the whole-of-society approach to solving all aspects of migration-related issues. In his speech, Vahid Gahramanov talked about the activities of the State Migration Service, the expansion of electronic services, and other works done to ensure citizen satisfaction.

Then the regulations of the Migrant Council were discussed and adopted. The chairman of the Council was elected by the members of the Migrant Council.

The event also included consultations on the problems faced by migrants in Azerbaijan and opinions were exchanged on other issues of interest.
