Information of the Election Commission organizing the elections to the Public Council under the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan

In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan № 816-IVQ "On Civic Engagement" dated November 22, 2013, with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan № 89 on application of the law dated January 16, 2014, and with “Regulations on Election of the Public Council by Civil Society Institutions" approved with the Decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan № 171 dated May 30, 2014, from May 7 to June 9, 2021, the registration of candidates for the purpose of election to the Public Council under the State Migration Service has been announced.

As required under Article 6.1 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Civic Engagement, paragraph 1.2 of the "Regulations on Election of the Public Council by Civil Society Institutions" and paragraph 2.14 providing for cases of refusal to register a candidacy of persons, candidacies of 30 people were registered. Nasirova Irada Polad, nominated and registered by "Marhamat" Public Union for Assistance to Orphans, withdrew her candidacy by applying to the Election Commission.

We reiterate that the members to the Public Council under the State Migration Service will be elected by secret ballot at a joint meeting of an equal number of representatives of civil society institutions on 06.07.2021 from 10:00 to 16:00 in the administrative building of the Service (202 Binagadi Highway, 3123 Block, Binagadi district, Baku city)

Civil society institutions interested in the participation of their representatives in the joint meeting, by providing the necessary information on the representative who will participate in the elections as a voter (name, first name, patronymic, place of residence, contact phones) should apply (contact) to the Election Commission for organizing elections to the Public Council under the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Information can be submitted (provided) to the State Migration Service in person on working days from 09:00 to 18:00 until June 25, 2021, or by e-mail info@migration.gov.az.

We invite registered candidates, their representatives, as well as representatives of interested mass media to observe the electoral process by personally notifying the State Migration Service or by e-mail info@migration.gov.on one day before the election day.
