The State Migration Service held an online meeting with representatives of higher education institutions in the country
The State Migration Service held an awareness-raising event in a video conference format with the Ministry of Education, as well as officials and representatives of higher education institutions operating in our country.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Chief of the Migration Processes Head Department of the State Migration Service, migration service counselor Tamilla Hajiyeva noted the concessions in the field of migration for foreign professor and students studying in our country in connection with the coronavirus pandemic. It was stated that foreigners and stateless persons must be registered upon place of factual residence in the country. In case of change of residence a foreigner who has received a temporary residence permit in the country must apply to the State Migration Service for registration of a new place of residence no later than 10 days.
She also reminded that foreigners whose temporary stay has been extended for up to 60 days will not be held administratively liable if they apply for a temporary residence permit even after the expiration of that period. Citizens can also address their questions regarding this and about migration legislation by contacting the 919 Call Center of the State Migration Service and its "online guide" service, the official Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages of the Service.
Later a presentation was held on the electronic application form. The questions of the participants were answered.
