Meeting of the Chief of the State Migration Service Vusal Huseynov with Ambassador of Pakistan to Azerbaijan
Welcoming the guest, Chief of the Service, III rank state migration service counselor Vusal Huseynov expressed his satisfaction with the meeting and congratulated the Ambassador on the occasion of commencement of his diplomatic mission in our country. He noted that it is highly valued by our people that the friendly country has always stood by Azerbaijan in the Armenian-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, as the Islamic Republic of Pakistan is one of the first states which recognized the independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Chief of the Service expressed his deep condolences to the Ambassador for the recent killing and wounding of innocent people as a result of the terrorist attack at a religious school in Peshawar. He said that Azerbaijan, which is currently fighting for justice against the terrorism and aggression policy of Armenia, has always been on the side of peace and tranquility. However, Armenian, which disrespects the norms and principles of international law, does not give up its ugly criminal acts even today. So far, our evil neighbors have carried out terrorist acts against the civilian population in the cities of Ganja, Barda and many other settlements. A total of 92 people have been murdered and 380 wounded so far as a result of rocket attacks on civilians. Moreover, Vusal Huseynov noted that as a result of another terrorist attack in Barda city, 21 civilians were killed and about 70 were injured. Thus, the Armenian army, which has lost its positions on the battlefield, sees the way out only in committing crimes against the civilian population.
Chief of the Service also gave detailed information about the activities of the State Migration Service, as well as e-services provided to foreigners from the first days of the pandemic.
Ambassador Bilal Hayee thanked for the warm welcome. He noted that his country has always supported Azerbaijan and important steps have been taken to further develop the mutual relations. He mentioned that Pakistan has always stood by brotherly Azerbaijan.
Later the perspectives of future cooperation between Azerbaijan and Pakistan in the field of migration, as well as other issues of mutual interest were discussed.
