To the attention of foreigners and stateless persons staying and residing in the Republic of Azerbaijan!
According to the Decisions No 426 and 427 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated October 28, 2020, period of special quarantine regime has been extended until 06:00 a.m. December 01, 2020. Moreover, access to Lankaran city, as well as Jalilabad and Masalli districts has been suspended, except for the movement of operative and special purpose transport vehicles and cargo trucks.
In this regard, foreigners and stateless persons staying/residing in the country are requested to take into account the following in connection with the activities of the State Migration Service:
- Related with reception of applications on migration issues
- Applications of foreigners and stateless persons, residing in the areas of Lankaran districts with unrestricted access and Yardimli, Lerik, Astara districts, on migration issues will be received in Lankaran regional migration department of the State Migration Service;
- Applications of foreigners and stateless persons, residing in Masalli district, on migration issues will be received in Masalli “Asan Xidmat” center;
- Foreigners residing in the areas with restricted access can use e-services related to migration issues (link to e-services: https://eservice.migration.gov.az/?lang=az).
- Related with documents to be submitted
Foreigners and stateless persons residing in districts with restricted access according to the above-mentioned Decision, except for Lankaran city, are not required to submit relevant medical reference while applying for temporary and permanent residence permits (it is necessary to provide relevant medical reference when the ready permits is collected in person).
- Related with foreigners willing to obtain a permanent residence permit in the Republic of Azerbaijan
- The examination of knowledge of foreigners living in cities, districts and villages with restricted access (except Shaki and Khachmaz cities, where regional migration departments are located) and applying for a permanent residence permit under the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan, on their rights and obligations, as well as on the state language, is postponed;
- Courses related to the study of the Azerbaijani language, history, culture, as well as legislation on rights and responsibilities for foreigners willing to obtain a permit for permanent residence in the Republic of Azerbaijan, are postponed. However, those who want to obtain materials related with the course can contact (012) 566-37-74 on weekdays from 09:00 to 18:00.
We would like to reiterate that stay of foreigners in the country, whose temporary staying periods have been extended for up to 60 days (visa period or 90 days) (by payment of the relevant state fee), is considered legal without any additional registration and payment of state fee until the restrictions on movement at the state border are lifted.
During the quarantine period the (012) 919 Call Center of the Service will operate with limited number of employees and in a restricted mode on weekends (November 7 and 8, 14 and 15, 21 and 22, 28 and 29, 2020). Therefore, during the indicated dates inquiries related to migration issues can be addressed through the online guide on the official website of the Service, as well as via the “MIGAZ” mobile application.
