To the attention of foreigners and stateless persons staying and residing in the Republic of Azerbaijan!

According to the Decision No 310 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated August 29, 2020, period of special quarantine regime is extended until 00:00 a.m. September 30, 2020. The special regime covers Baku, Sumgayit cities and Absheron region.  

We would like to inform foreigners that the activity of all other regional migration departments, except for the Baku Regional Migration Department, are fully restored.

Moreover, the Training Center of the State Migration Service relaunches courses on teaching Azerbaijani language, history, culture, as well as legislation on rights and responsibilities for foreigners willing to obtain a permanent residence permit in the Republic of Azerbaijan. Those who want to enrol in online courses can call (012) 566-37-74 on weekdays from 09:00 to 18:00.

During the quarantine period the (012) 919 Call Center of the State Migration Service will operate with limited number of employees and in a restricted mode on weekends (September  5 and 6, 12 and 13, 19 and 20, 26 and 27, 2020). Therefore, during the indicated dates inquiries related to migration issues can be addressed through the online guide on the official website of the Service, as well as via the MIGAZ mobile application.

Once again we reiterate that stay of foreigners in the country, whose temporary staying periods have been extended for up to 60 days (by payment of the relevant state fee), is considered legal without any additional registration and payment of state fee until the restrictions on movement at the state border are lifted.
