Chief of the State Migration Service held video conference with the graduates of “Migration School-2” project

The “Migration School-2” project of the State Migration Service completed. The trainings were carried out by the representatives of the relevant structural units of SMS, the “Migration School” project partners, as well as the international and non-governmental organizations, national and international experts. During 6 months 16 participants received trainings on “International migration law”, “Migration data: sources and terms of use”, “Visa policy of Azerbaijan” and other topics. The young people were closely familiarized with activity of the Reception Unit of the Baku regional migration department, Call Center 919 and other structural units.

Holding a video conference with the participants at the end of the project, Chief of the State Migration Service, III rank state migration service counselor Vusal Huseynov congratulated the youth and highlighted the significance of the “Migration School-2”. He noted the importance of migration processes, which include social, economic, humanitarian, legal issues. V.Huseynov mentioned that particular significance is given to preparation of experts in this sphere. He stated that the mentioned educational program is an important step in this direction. The participants of the “Migration School-2” shared their impressions about the project. At the end of the event, the Service chief answered questions interested participants.

It should be mentioned that taking into account the special quarantine regime applied in our country in the fight against the COVID-19 virus, during the pandemic the recent trainings of the “Migration School-2” project continued online.
