To the attention of foreigners and stateless persons staying and residing in the Republic of Azerbaijan

In accordance with the measures taken to tighten the special quarantine regime in the cities of Baku, Sumgayit, Ganja, Lankaran, Yevlakh, Masalli, Jalilabad and Absheron region from 00:00 June 21, 2020 to 06:00 July 5, by the Decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated June 19, 2020, foreigners and stateless persons staying and residing in the country are requested to take into account the following related to the activities of the State Migration Service:

The activity of regional migration departments located in the mentioned territories is limited, the reception of relevant documents and handing over of ready documents is carried out through “ASAN service” centers.
Relevant medical certificates are not required when applying for temporary and permanent residence permits (it is necessary to provide relevant medical certificates when physically obtaining ready-made permits).
The examination of foreigners applying for permanent residence permit on their knowledge of the rights and duties under the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as of the state language, is postponed.
Foreigners who have valid residence permits and have no grounds for extension of those permits, as well as legal representatives of foreigners who have reached the age of 16 on those dates (parents, etc.) are requested to apply to the Service electronically for an extension of temporary staying period.
Foreigners can send proposals, applications and complaints on migration issues via the link https://www.migration.gov.az/contacts/letter.

Foreigners willing to temporarily leave their place of stay or residence on the mentioned dates must send an SMS message to 8103 to obtain a permit. In this case, an SMS message is sent to 8103, after the number 1 (2) respectively by noting the number of the relevant document after the abbreviation OYQ (registration upon the place of residence), MOM (temporary staying period), MYI (temporary residence permit) or DYI (permanent residence permit) in accordance with the status of stay and residence in the country. Abbreviations must be written in English letters. For example, a foreigner temporarily residing in the country sends an SMS with the number 2MYI and the document number (eg. 2MYI0123456) to 8103 to leave the place of residence in order to obtain food. Foreigners who are registered upon place of residence, as well as in respect to whom a decision was made on extension of their temporary staying period, can obtain the number of the relevant documents by using the "application tracking" e-service on the official website of the State Migration Service (https://eservice.migration.gov.az/public/application-track). In this case, it is important to include passport number, date of birth and citizenship. The foreigner can leave the place of residence or stay only after receiving a positive response.

It is important for foreigners to have an identity document (passport or other border crossing document) with them when they leave.

Foreigners are recommended not to leave home in order to use migration services, but prefer to use e-services (link for e-services: https://eservice.migration.gov.az/?lang=en).

In addition, we would like to note that the stay of foreigners in the country, whose temporary staying period has been extended for 60 days (with payment of the relevant state fee), is considered legal without additional application and payment of state fee until the restrictions on movement at the state border are lifted.
