Oath ceremony of persons who acquired citizenship of Azerbaijan

On February 27 of this year, a solemn oath ceremony was held at the State Migration Service (SMS), for the implementation of the Order signed by the President Ilham Aliyev on adoption and restoration of citizenship of the Republic of Azerbaijan by 343 persons.

Chief of the State Migration Service, III rank state migration service counselor Vusal Huseynov congratulated the event participants on the occasion of this remarkable day and upcoming Novruz Holiday, and the women on the occasion of the International Women’s Day. He noted that it is a great honor to be a full-fledged citizen of modern and independent Azerbaijan. President Ilham Aliyev achieved dynamic development covering all areas of the country, improving the welfare and security of every Azerbaijani family, strengthening national unity and solidarity, pursuing a balanced foreign policy that meets the interests of our country. Huseynov said that many people apply for Azerbaijani citizenship every year. The main reason for this is, indeed, the rapid development of our country and its growing economic power.

Later, 343 persons who adopted or restored the citizenship took an oath on being loyal to our country by putting their hands on the Constitution in front of the Azerbaijani State Flag. It should be noted that 86 of those who acquired citizenship were stateless persons.

The event finalized with the performance of the National Anthem.

In the end, a memorial photo was taken.
