Migration employees participated at the tree planting campaign

The State Migration Service, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources and the International Organization for Migration`s Representation in Azerbaijan launched planting olive trees campaign with the purpose of raising awareness and increasing public attention on environment and climate change issues, as well as supporting initiatives of the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan on green zones and environment.

The event attended by the “Migration Volunteers” as well, was organized in “Velopark” territory of Sabail District. Participants planted 220 olive trees. Fertile soil and mineral fertilizers were used while planting new trees, as well as necessary measures were taken for protecting and providing them with regular care.

It is planned to continue the campaign and to expand the olive garden in the future.
