Chief of State Migration Service met with the Representative of UN High Commissioner for Refugees in Azerbaijan

Chief of the State Migration Service, III rank state migration service counselor Vusal Huseynov met with the Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Azerbaijan Guido Ambroso.

Vusal Huseynov touched upon sincere relations between the State Migration Service and the UNHCR’s Representation in Azerbaijan, as well as noted that significant measures has been taken in order to improve the existing asylum system in the country and issues related to the integration of persons who obtained refugee status are on the spotlight.

At the meeting, opinion exchange was conducted on the 70th session of the Executive Committee of the UNHCR to be held in Geneva on October 7-11, 2019 and the I Global Refugee Forum to be held in December 17-18, 2019, as well other issues of mutual interest.
