Support demonstrated for athlete competing as a refugee at “Baku 2019” XV European Youth Olympic Festival

The capital Baku hosts another prestigious event - "Baku 2019" XV European Youth Olympic Festival. 3 thousand meters distance running was organized among girls within the framework of the festival at the Republican Stadium named after Tofig Bahramov. The 15 years old athlete Nazret Kobodom from Eritrea, who currently holds a refugee status in Israel, joined the footrace, as well. The representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Azerbaijan Guido Ambroso and chief of the Refugee Status Determination Department of the State Migration Service Aydan Seidova watched the footrace for the purpose of supporting the athlete competing on behalf of the European Olympic Committee.
