Vusal Huseynov: “Public Council under State Migration Service plays pivotal role in terms of learning public opinion, along with enhancing internal governance”

This remark was made by the Chief of State Migration Service, III rank state migration service counsellor Vusal Huseynov at the event dedicated to the results of activities of the Public Council under State Migration Service during the years 2017-2019.

Service chief highly appreciated effective cooperation of the Public Council during its 2 years activity. He stated that State Migration Service ensures transparency in its activities and based on this strategy, Public Council contributed to the Service’s activity with its beneficial proposals.

Deputy chief of the State Migration Service, III rank state migration service counsellor Parviz Musayev emphasized that Public Council serves as a bridge between State Migration Service and community. He noted that Public Council ensures public control by the Service and this has a positive impact on addressing challenges of both citizens and foreigners.

Afterwards, chairman of the Public Council under State Migration Service Azar Allahveranov delivered a speech. He mentioned that up to 600 migrants benefitted from more than 10 projects presented to SMS regarding extension of rights of foreigners and stateless persons, better protection of their legitimate interests and improvement of migration processes.

President of Azerbaijan National NGO Forum Rauf Zeyni, Chair of “For the Sake of Social Welfare of Citizens” Public Union Irada Rzazada and Chief Editor of “Aktor.az” website Telman Mammadov touched upon significant aspects of the Public Council’s activity and positively evaluated taken measures.

In the end, Chief of State Migration Service, III rank state migration service counsellor Vusal Huseynov awarded the members of Public Council with “Honorary Diploma” for the effective cooperation.
