Re-election held for vacant places left for the membership to the Public Council under State Migration Service

At the election held among 6 candidates, Karimova Lamiya Agha and Fatullayev Vidadi Bayram were elected as a member to the Public Council. Votes were counted with the participation of Commission members and under the supervision of observers. 23 representatives of the civil societies registered for the initial elections participated in poll as a voter.

It should be noted that the elections for membership to the Public Council under State Migration Service was held on June 25. It was considered to form the Council’s staff from 9 members, whereas according to the results of poll by taking into consideration the requirements of relevant legislation only 7 out of 13 candidates were selected as a member to the Public Council. Public Council under State Migration Service will function with 9 members for the next 2 years.
