Chief of State Migration Service Vusal Huseynov met with Director General of the International Center for Migration Policy Development

Chief of the State Migration Service, III rank state migration service counselor Mr. Vusal Huseynov met with the Director General of the International Center for Migration Policy Development Mr. Michael Spindelegger.

Service chief highlighted the significance of measures taken for the enhancement and development of existing cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and ICMPD. He noted that the implementation of several essential projects and organization of joint events contribute to the enhancement of relations at high level. Vusal Huseynov emphasized that the cooperation established with ICMPD is particularly developed within the framework of “Joint Declaration on a Mobility Partnership between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the European Union and its participating Member States”. He noted that organized study visits, conducted researches, as well as drafted reports within the framework of MOBILAZE project ensure determination of new priority fields for collaboration.

Service chief expressed his interest on continuing successful cooperation with ICMPD not only within the aforementioned projects, but also in other fields of mutual interest such as effective migration management, regulation of emigration processes, document security, positive impact of migration on development, raising capacity of human capital and etc.

Expressing his gratitude for sincere reception Michael Spindelegger emphasized the importance of implemented projects and noted that they will stimulate Azerbaijan’s successful activity.

At the meeting discussions was conducted on cooperation perspectives at bilateral and multilateral level with the organization.

Afterwards, the guest visited the Heydar Aliyev Museum of the Service and wrote his thoughts to the memory book. Furthermore, Michael Spindelegger got familiarized with the Language Laboratory and Call Center of the Service.
