Oath ceremony held for the persons admitted to Azerbaijani citizenship

On March 13, 2019, for the purpose of the implementation of the Order signed by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on the acquisition of citizenship of the Republic of Azerbaijan by 74 persons, a solemn oath ceremony of those persons was held at the State Migration Service (SMS). 

Chief of the State Migration Service Vusal Huseynov greeted and congratulated the event participants on the occasion of this significant day. The Service chief stated that increase is observed in the number of the persons, who want to have an honour to acquire citizenship of the Republic of Azerbaijan every year. Today Azerbaijan, which is known as tolerant, multicultural and secure country, is distinguished with its dynamic development in social, cultural, economic and political in a word in all spheres under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev. For this reason, being a citizen of Azerbaijan with full rights is really a big pride and happiness.

At the end of the speech the Service chief congratulated the participants on the occasion of the Novruz Holiday, which reflects national spiritual values, ancient historic past, as well as rich customs and traditions in itself.   

Then 74 persons, who acquired citizenship, solemnly took an oath of loyalty to the Republic of Azerbaijan in the official language of Azerbaijan by putting their hands on the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan in front of the state flag.

The event finished with the performance of the National Anthem.
