Solemn ceremony held on the occasion of 12th anniversary of the establishment of the State Migration Service, 19 March – professional holiday of the employees of migration bodies of the Republic of Azerbaijan
On March 18, 2019, a solemn ceremony was organized at the State Migration Service on the occasion of 12th anniversary of the establishment of the entity as well as, March 19 – the professional holiday of the employees of migration bodies of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Firstly, the event participants visited the Alley of Honors and commemorated the memory of National Leader, the founder of modern and independent Azerbaijani state, Heydar Aliyev with esteem and laid flowers at his grave. The prominent ophthalmologist and academician Zarifa Aliyeva was commemorated, as well.
The Service employees also visited the Alley of Martyrs. They commemorated the unforgettable memory of our brave sons and daughters who lost their lives for the independence of homeland, laid fresh carnations on their graves and placed a wreath at the "Eternal Torch" monument.
Afterwards, a solemn ceremony dedicated to the establishment of the State Migration Service was held the headquarters.
Initialy, the national anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.
The orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev dated March 16, 2019 on granting the III rank state migration service counselor special high rank to V.Huseynov and the medal "For Distinction in service at migration bodies" to a number of migration bodies` employees were announced.
In his opening speech, Chief of the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, III rank state migration service counselor Vusal Huseynov expressed his gratitude on behalf of the staff of the Service to respected President Mr. Ilham Aliyev for his care and attention to the employees of migration bodies.
Service chief congratulated the employees on the occasion of 12th anniversary of the establishment of the State Migration Service and professional holiday, wished them success in their service activity.
Emphasizing development dynamics of the country`s economy, implementation of socio-economic programs, successful continuation of the huge transnational energy and transport projects under the leadership of respected President Mr. Ilham Aliyev, Service chief noted the further enhancement of the country`s international position, provision of national security and stability.
Vusal Huseynov stated that previous years had been remembered with significant improvements in the activity of the State Migration Service. Based on the advanced international practices, the national migration legislation was modernized; significant steps were taken in order to expand the SMS's activity, transparency was fully ensured in all activity fields of the Service, and several measures was conducted towards ensuring the applicants` satisfaction.
Chief of the Service particularly emphasized the activity of the employees of migration bodies in the achievements. He mentioned that each employee of the migration bodies is vigilantly protect of our national interests, carefully examine each application of foreigners visiting the country, and makes relevant decisions in accordance with the legislation.
Later, a group of Service employees were awarded by the head of the State Migration Service. Special ranks for 34 employees, “Honorary Decree” for 44 employees were presented, 2 employees got a promotion in the Service and 47 employees received a “Commendation”.
