A meeting held with the students and teachers of the university, as well as public representatives at the Shaki branch of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University on raising awareness of the population in the area of migration legislation and on the occasion of the 12th anniversary of the establishment of the State Migration Service

The meeting participants were informed about the activities of the State Migration Service which provide services on “one-stop-shop” principle in the sphere of regulation and management of migration processes in our country, such as registration upon place of stay of foreigners and stateless persons, temporary stay, temporary and permanent residence, issuance of work permits and extension of their terms, citizenship issues, establishment of citizenship. It was emphasized that legalization of stay and residence of foreigners arriving in the country is a requirement of the legislation. Furthermore, the event participants were informed on the use and application of the "MIGAZ" application and video instruction was demonstrated about it. Then information was provided about the "Migration Volunteer - You Are Different!” project.

At the end of the meeting questions of the participants were answered.
