Blood donation campaign held at State Migration Service

On 15 March 2019, blood donation campaign was held on the eve of the 12th anniversary of the establishment of the Service and professional holiday of migration bodies’ employees at the headquarters of State Migration Service.

170 employees of the State Migration Service attended the blood donation campaign organized in accordance with the State Program “Care for the children suffering from hemophilia and thalassemia” approved by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

The purpose of the campaign held within the joint venture of the State Migration Service and Azerbaijan Thalassemia Federation was to support the people, especially children suffering from thalassemia and other inherited blood illnesses and to increase blood storage stocked for them.

It should be noted that doctor-hematologists of special medical brigade of Central Blood Bank of Institute of Hematology and Transfusion named after Bahadur Eyvazov collected blood after examining health of the donors.

Collected blood samples will be used accordingly after being tested in the laboratory.
