The Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Academy of Public Administration and the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan
The Memorandum of Understanding has signed between the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan on February 14.
The Memorandum covers issues such as strengthening capacity building, organization of short-term advanced courses for improvement skills of young public servants, supporting participation of young employees who study in the field of public administration, volunteering programs, as well as their practical experience, cooperation in the development of high qualified staff and others.
The document was signed by the rector of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, academician Urkhan Alakbarov and the Chief of the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan Vusal Huseynov.
Making a speech in the signing ceremony the rector, academician Urkhan Alakbarov underlined the achievements of the country in the maintenance of the sustainable development strategy which was established by the national leader Heydar Aliyev and successfully continued by the President Ilham Aliyev. The rector mentioned the unique services of the national leader Heydar Aliyev and his worthy follower President Ilham Aliyev in the application of rare administration technologies in the country, establishment of prompt public administration system, and realization of science based innovative development strategy, state building and the process of public service development. The rector underlined that achievements in economic, social, political, humanitarian and other spheres, initiatives of global significance aimed at the resolution of the challenges of XXI century and ever increasing international reputation have made Azerbaijan a regional and global leader in several directions.
The Chief of the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan Vusal Huseynov stated that the cooperation with the Academy of Public Administration as the advanced and leading education, methodical, science and analytic information center, which pays special attention to the training of the professional staff in the field of administration in the country, was one of the significant steps. The Service Chief, pointing out the country’s increased economic power and establishment of favorable business environment for the businessmen in recent years, emphasized that in such a situation, involvement of high quality labor force and strengthening the measures against illegal migration was one of the main tasks and underlined the need for skilled manpower for controlling the migration processes. Vusal Huseynov mentioned that the Memorandum aims at making reforms in the field of migration in the republic among the young people which are qualified in the public administration sphere, learning and applying the international practice, systematizing the skills on international human rights concepts and other issues, acquiring new skills and increasing the interest to the migration sphere.
