Chief of the State Migration Service Mr. Vusal Huseynov met with Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Turkey Mr. Suleyman Soylu on December 28, 2018.

Vusal Huseynov expressed his pleasure to meet with the Minister of Interior of Turkey in our country. Noting the close cooperation in the field of migration between the two countries, as in other spheres, the Service chief underlined that no efforts would be spared for further consolidation of the cooperation.

Vusal Huseynov emphasized that the migration processes in our country are always kept in the focus and added that novelties, including application of innovative tools in this area is a priority.

Expressing his gratitude for the warm welcome, Suleyman Soylu mentioned that Azerbaijan is one of the most important partners of Turkey. Noting that migration is one of the most discussed issues in Turkey as in the whole world, the Minister of Interior of Turkey informed about the activities carried out by Turkey to eliminate the consequences of this phenomenon as a country hosting more than 3 million refugees.

At the meeting discussions were held about the problems faced by the citizens of the both countries in the field of migration, as well as exchange of views was carried out about the steps to be taken to address these problems. An agreement was reached to strengthen the legal framework between the two countries' migration authorities in order to further enhance efficiency of the cooperation.
