State Migration Service organized an advanced training course on “State regulation of migration processes”

Within the framework of cooperation between the State Migration Service and the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (APA), the opening ceremony of the course on "State regulation of migration processes" was held at the faculty of "Improvement of professional skills of management staff" of the APA.

 Chief of the State Migration Service, Vusal Huseynov and rector of the APA, academician Urkhan Alakbarov spoke about the importance of the course organized for the purpose of delivery, explanation and interpretation of the management of migration processes in the country and public policy in this direction to senior officers working in law enforcement bodies and other state authorities. It was noted that the course is an example of the events organized within the framework of the close cooperation between SMS and APA for the purpose of improving the qualifications of employees of separate central and local executive authorities in the field of migration, as well as enhancing their professional skills. The advanced training course serves to systematization of knowledge on the key challenges of reforms in migration sphere of the country, studying and applying international practice, international human rights concepts and other issues, as well as delivering new information to listeners.

 It should be noted that in total 30 employees from the State Migration Service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Border Service, the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman), the State Customs Committee, Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population, the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, State Committee on Affairs with Diaspora, and the State Committee on Religious Associations of the Republic of Azerbaijan have been involved in 4-day courses.
